- Apply a suitable plumber putty on the flange then press it gently until it falls into place. Set the disposal on the collar to prevent it from moving.
- Stack the backup flange, fiber gasket, and mounting ring, then slide it gently onto the underside of the collar. Once it is in place, install the snap ring then tighten the screws. Don’t forget to clean excess putty.
- Remove the wire cover plate to access the electrical cord. Connect it correctly by matching the wire colors. Reattach the plate once you are done.
- Use a hammer to remove the drain plug
- Connect the drain by inserting the gasket gently in the discharge outlet then attach the discharge tube with bolts and flange. Once you are done, hang the garbage disposal by aligning the mounting ring with the three tabs then use the wrench to lock the tabs onto the ridges.
- Connect the dishwasher drain. Ensure that the discharge pile is aligned correctly before connecting the drain pipes.

- The first thing that you need to before you start the installation process is to turn off water supply completely
- Unplug the garbage disposal from the electrical outlet. If the garbage disposal is permanently attached to the electrical circuit, turn it off form the main switch.
- Use a screwdriver, a light hammer to locate and remove the knockout plug inside the hose nozzle. Use a needle nose plier to remove the plug from the nozzle.
- Gently insert a threaded stem at the top of the air gap fitting into the hole located at the back of the sink. Inset the runner washer provided on the upper side of the stem then tighten it up on the trim cap. Please don’t use pliers or wrench to tighten the cap. Instead, use your hands.
- Gently rotate the air gap fitting by hand until the angled nozzle points the direction of the garbage disposal.
- Push one side of the garbage disposal drain hose gently onto the nozzle on the dishwasher then fit the hose clamps provided on the other end of the hose. Gently insert the lower clamp to the hose (at the nozzle) then tighten it with a screwdriver
- Use your utility knife to cut the upper side of the hose to sizeable length. Ensure that it fits the air gap nozzle perfectly without bending.
- Insert a one-inch hose clamp on the other side of the dishwasher drain hose. Ensure that you cut the hose to a sizeable length so that it fits perfectly to the vertical nozzle without a loop or bend in the hose. Insert the end to the vertical then tighten it with a hose clamp.
